Chicken Wing Dip

I’m busy prepping for the Super Bowl tomorrow but I had to share this recipe immediately.  It’s from one of J’s sister’s friends, and reserved for special occasions.  I was given strict orders that brand name products must be used. 🙂

Chicken Wing Dip


One lb of chicken breast, poached and shredded.


Mix with Frank’s Original RedHot Sauce


Spread a block of Philadelphia cream cheese on the bottom of 2 pie plates (a block for each pie plate.)


Divide the chicken/RedHot mixture between the 2 plates and spread around.


Pour Marie’s Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing over both, spreading evening over the top of the chicken.


Sprinkle about a half a cup of shredded mozzarella over each.


And bake at 350 degrees until bubbly and slightly brown on top.  Serve with tortilla or corn chips.

I can’t show you the final picture because these are for tomorrow, but this stuff is basically like crack.  You think, eh, what do I care about chicken wing dip?  But then you eat it and even non chicken wing aficionados are hooked.

PS I do alter the recipe a bit by using 1/3 less fat Philly and lowfat Marie chunky dressing.  You can’t tell though…

Here’s a fun project that I picked up from Koala Brains that I made for my friend Val over at Homo-Ec:


The top one has a print fabric with dress forms on it and is for her; the bottom one was my tester pattern and, although a little janky, will make me smile every time I wear it.

Here’s Val modeling it oh-so-nicely for me after asking why I hadn’t posted about it already….duh lady! : )
